>Baby Time – Part II   Leave a comment

He’s a cute lil booger!

Well – congrats to my daughter Amanda and her hubby Derek!

Amanda delivered a 7lb 6oz beautiful baby boy on Oct 16th, 2010. She posted on her Facebook page:
“Conner Derek Menken. born at 4:18 am Oct 16th, 7 lbs 6 ounces and 19 inches”

>Remember that last post that I said about Amanda should be having the baby sometime next week… well, I think the little guy wants to come early! Amanda had to go to the hosp as her contractions were 7 min apart.

>Sooo – next week Amanda should be going thru labor and delivering a boy. It just seems soo hard to believe that she’ll be a mother, Derek and father, and me a grandpa… no wait… strike that “G” daddy. The word “grand” just doesn’t ring good with me yet. I just don’t feel old enough to be “grand”. LOL!

>So I had a very busy Saturday – was out on field service this morning, Headed down to put together Eugenes system, (but issues with password prevented logging into Windows – will fix that later), stopped by the park and enjoyed visiting bros and sisters from Sono Kingdom Hall, and headed down to Bobby and Sams for a get together with Jim, Becky and the kids.

Bri has gotten soo lovable, always hugging me! Trudy is attached to the phone and talking to Cody (her current BF) Bobby and Sam seem to be doing really good. (although I do worry bout their relationship)
Had a blast with Bri and Arianna on the trampoline – god that wore me out – I felt 5 years older afterwards… but it was fun. I wish that they had a trampoline twice as big and have everyone in the whole neighborhood on it!! man..that would be crazy! LOL!!!

Anyways finally met Carrie, one of Trudy friends – very sweet girl – I gave her a big hug (and never wanted to let go)  Just want to tell her thier are plenty of people, family and friends who care about her. 😦

>So as I mentioned in my last post I’ve become addicted to Facebook. Mostly adult friends, but some of the kids also. One of the kids has “tugged” at my heart for some reason. She’s a friend of Trudys, but this girl worries me. She comments constantly, whether on someone else’s comments or her own. It just seems like she’s saying “somebody talk too me please”. The poor girl just seems so lonely and depressed. I just want tell her “hey.. you’ve dozens of friends you prob don’t even know about” and give her a huge bear hug. 😦

>So.. it’s official… I’m a Facebook junkie.
Since quitting Sprint last month, I’ve been finding myself on the “Social Network” every day.. almost every other hour or so checking comments…saying hi to friends, or playing Cafe world. Actually I have’t played Cafe World for a few months – I’m guessing it just got old cooking the same stuff on the stoves, but I’ve heard Zynga made it were you can design the exterior of the cafes, and have deliveries involved. Hmm – one of these days gotta check it out.
Trudys’ growing up way too fast – it just seems that a few years ago she was living around the corner in Kingsbridge when she was 8 and I’d bring her and Kenny to the pool during the warm summer weekends.

Kids these days seem to take in alot more adult like info that they really shouldn’t pay attention to. I read on one of Trudys comment that her and her friend was gonna get “Jacked-up” on Mtn Dew. I’m thinking … does one get “Jacked-up” (Drunk) on Mtn Dew?  I wasn’t exactly putting two-and-two together. Anyways Carrie (Trudys friend) saw my comment and told me you mix the Mtn Dew with Vodka. Hmm.. nice info… thanks Carrie! … and how in the world does she know that??!! I mean Carrie is only 13. I didn’t even drink my first beer till I was 17!
